TVET PROGRESSION

TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) progression refers to the process of advancing from one level of TVET education to another or from TVET education to higher education. TVET progression is important for individuals who wish to improve their skills, knowledge, and employability in a particular trade or profession. TVET progression typically involves the following stages:

Basic TVET: This is the entry-level stage of TVET education, where students acquire basic skills and knowledge in a particular trade or profession. This stage may include certificate programs, short-term courses, or on-the-job training.

Intermediate TVET: This stage builds on the basic TVET stage and provides more advanced skills and knowledge in a particular trade or profession. This stage may include diploma programs or longer-term apprenticeships.

Advanced TVET: This stage provides highly specialized skills and knowledge in a particular trade or profession. This stage may include advanced diploma programs or other forms of specialized training.

Higher Education: After completing TVET education, individuals may choose to pursue higher education, such as a bachelor's degree, in a related field. This can help individuals to advance their careers and improve their earning potential.
